Part One: Where Did They Go? …..the files I just downloaded !

If you’re having a difficult time finding your downloaded file, there’s a good chance you can find it in one of the following places.

Shown below are common places to look for files, just after downloading and if you have not yet closed the browser window. You will be given three options for what to do… open…save… or cancel… the current downloaded file.

By default, your computer will place downloaded files in a specific folder, known as the Downloads folder. If you’re having trouble finding a file you downloaded from the Internet, such as a digital embroidery design purchased on the web or an embroidery file attached to an email message, the download folder is the first place you should look.

Showing downloads folder with file explorer

To view the Downloads folder, open File Explorer, then locate and select Downloads ( on the left side of the window). A list of your recently downloaded files will appear.

If that seems a bit too much there is a easy way to find those same files.

The short answer is: Open a browser window then Press > Ctrl+J

A new screen appears listing the downloads in the order of date downloaded. HOW GREAT IS THAT! Try it I’m sure you’ll like it.
